Jurassica, Isle of Portland, UK. This landmark attraction on the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will bring to life the lost world of Britain's Mesozoic past on a spectacular and ambitious scale. To be built within a deep disused stone quarry, Jurassica will feature major palaeontology and evolutionary science exhibits, an innovative Jurassic ‘aquarium’ and the world’s largest walk-through immersive prehistoric environment. The museum and primeval landscape will be housed within a massive translucent dome designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano. The project patron is the world-famous wildlife documentary film maker, Sir David Attenborough.
