Models and maquettes play a vital role in my design development methodology. Concept and presentation models are superbly detailed miniature representations of exhibits or entire projects, which convey the overall intent of a design and provide credibility and weight to awareness and fund-raising campaigns. 'Working' models are valuble design tools enabling an environment, exhibit or landscape to be properly visualised and modified in three-dimensions prior to construction. They facilitate definitive scope-of-works assessment and accurate costing by scenic/landscaping contractors, and most importantly provide a detailed, direct reference for actual construction.
